xxxxThe Mid America Outlaw "1200" Sprint Series is a new upright 1200 mini sprint series originating out of Lewistown, IL. The new 2007 series was put together over the winter months by 2006 WIMS point champ and 2006 Wilmot {Wi.} Speedway point champ John Draper of Bryant IL.

xxxxDraper is the President of the new series . The new series will be racing at tracks in central IL for 2007. Draper attended many trade shows over the winter to promote the new series and pass out info on what he would like to accomplish for the 2007 series. Billy West. the new Promoter at Jacksonville IL, jumped on board and signed the new series on for 14 shows. The race on Thursday night, June 21st will pay $500 to win and the series will be a support class for the UMPdirtCar Summernationals. Morey Denney the Promoter at Spoon River Speedway near Canton IL also stepped up and signed on for 7 races at the 3/8 mi high banked clay oval. The 2 big races at Spoon River will pay $500 to win on Wed night July 11th as a support class for the UMPdirtCar Summernationals and on Saturday night Sept 15th as a support class for the Tom Knowles Memorial POWRi Midgets and 410 Outlaw Sprints. Bill Nelson of Vermillion Co. Speedway in Danville IL signed on for 2 races on Fri. night July 13 and on Sat night Sept 22nd.

xxxxWe will also be at the macomb Speedway in Macomb IL on Sunday night May 27th. at the 5th mile oval. There will be 5 non point races 2 at Sycamore Speedway and 3 at Power Com Speedway in Beaver Dam WI. We hope the 2007 inagural season is a successfull one and you come and race and support this new series. Talks are on going for a major sponsor for the 2008 season!
